In 2013 I enrolled in an MA in Sonic Arts at the Sonic Arts Research Centre at Queen’s University. I was involved in many projects during that period and Foirm Fada (long form) really captures a lot of what I was thinking about at the time, particularly ideas around developing a new personal vocabulary for improvisation towards engaging with others in an open ended language that is created and negotiated in the moment. The first of these tracks was recorded in the incredible environment of the Sonic Lab with all the best of gear, the second was recorded in the lobby with a handheld device!
