Hi, welcome to my site, thanks for dropping by!
This site contains some examples of my work from over the course of my career. I primarily play Irish Traditional Music on the fiddle but I have always had a deep interest in music that doesn’t really fit in, particularly electronic music and improvised music, music that explores ideas relating to nature, to the universe and of the infinite.
I play with the critically acclaimed group Córas Trio, exploring the fractal nature of Irish Traditional Music. I have been a member of improv ensembles Foirm Fada and QUBe ensemble and I spent a period engrossed in DJ culture and produced work under the moniker Jan Jeffer. In a previous life I worked extensively in theatre as a sound designer and composer working primarily with Prime Cuts Productions and represented Ireland at the International Prague Quadrennial and at the Italian cultural think tank ‘Fabrica Bennetton’
In addition to my performance and compositional work I have worked with a number of charities and organisations dedicated to improving the lives of others through educational achievement, inclusion and community building.
